Andreas (Ultramarathon Athlete) has been involved in sports from a young age, specifically in track and field endurance events. After completing his military service, he took up triathlon at the Olympic distance level, becoming the Cyprus Champion in 2015 and a member of the national triathlon team.

Top Achievements:

  • European Triathlon Championship (Olympic distance) in Kitzbühel, Austria – 22nd place
  • 3 IRONMAN Triathlon races in Lanzarote, Nice, and Frankfurt
  • Olympus Mythical Trail – 100km mountain race in Greece – 4th place, 2020
  • Sea to Sky – 130km race in Cyprus – 2nd place, 2021
  • Olympus Man Trail – 70km in Cyprus – 1st place
  • Transylvania 100km race in Romania – 6th place
  • UTMB Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc – 170km in Chamonix, France – 33 hours and 59 minutes
  • Marathon Des Sables – 250km, held in the Sahara Desert, Morocco, in April 2023

 He is the first Cypriot ultramarathon athlete to run the Marathon des Sables in the Sahara Desert in Morocco, covering 250km. He ranked 4th in his age category and 20th overall among approximately 1300 participants. This race is considered one of the toughest in the world and was undertaken in support of the Pancyprian Alliance for Rare Disorders. 

  • Tor des Géants race in the Italian Alps: A mountain ultramarathon covering 330 kilometers with 24,000 meters of elevation gain.

 He is the first Cypriot athlete to participate in this race, finishing 56th overall among approximately 1100 competitors.(Note: Of the 1100 athletes who started the race, only 533 managed to finish.)
