Ronnie Kessel

Ronnie Kessel is the owner and CEO of the Kessel Group, a prominent actor in the automotive and motorsport worlds in Switzerland, founded by his father Loris in the early 1970s.

Since 2010, thanks also to his studies in Economics, Ronnie Kessel has been the protagonist of the constant and solid growth of the company, which today has more than 130 employees. Kessel’s core businesses are structured under the acronym CARS, meaning Classic, Auto, Racing and Service.

The Racing team is a family legacy, being both Loris and Ronnie former professional drivers, and same is for the long-lasting relationship with major luxury automotive brands such as Ferrari, Maserati and Pagani, of which Kessel is official dealer. On the other hand, the Classic division is the brainchild of Ronnie Kessel, who recently started an expansion project of the dedicated facility that is one of the few Ferrari certified official workshops.

  • 2008
    Ronnie competes professionally and races alongside his father, Loris Kessel, in a 430GT3 Ferrari at an International GT Open round at Valencia street circuit, marking the symbolic passing of racing identity across generations.
  • 2010
    Ronnie becomes CEO of Kessel Group at age 22, following the passing of his father.
  • Since 2010
    Company grows from approx. 40 employees to over 200, expanding into a full CARS structure (Classic, Auto, Racing, Service)
  • 2000 – 2005
    Kessel Racing races the Ferrari Challenge Europe before expanding to GT competitions
  • 2005 to present
    Kessel Racing establishes sustained presence in European Le Mans Series, GT World Challenge, GT Open, and the Michelin Le Mans Cup
  • 2016 to present
    Kessel Racing has been regularly taking part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with the next year marking the 10th anniversary since its first participation in the prestigious competition.
  • 2019
    First official edition of The I.C.E. St. Moritz launches (co-founded by Ronnie), creating a new cultural reference point in historic and lifestyle automotive events
  • 2025
    Ferrari 275 GTB/4 restored by Kessel Classic for Horacio Pagani wins Ferrari Classiche Best of Show at Cavallino Classic in Modena
  • 2026 (expected)
    Opening of the expanded Kessel Classic restoration workshop, establishing one of the largest Ferrari Classiche certified facilities in Switzerland
